I'm working on the graphics for a sequel to Dino Jeff Jet Pack Adventure by PabMo. I think it's going to be great!

I also might work on a couple of other games in the near future! Very exciting indeed.

Here's an old animation I just finished. It's about prank calling old ladies.

It's Dutch. It's probably only enjoyable if you speak Dutch so I don't think I will upload to Newgrounds.

Here's a picture of my cat.

Working on games and stuff

Posted by aap - December 1st, 2010

If you haven't seen it already, you can watch it over here!

A lot of people said it should have been a game. I'm actually planning to make a game about my Aap character but I don't think it will happen any time soon. I would love to collaborate with people here on NG though. Send me a message if you're looking for someone to do graphics for a game!

Other stuff:
I made a .zip file containing all bitmap images from the animation, if you're interested you can download it here.

If you liked the song I used in Turd Eating Cat you can download my whole album of shitty 8-bit songs here for free.

I also made a game a few years ago, in which you play the same monkey character. It isn't a Flash game but an .exe, you can download it here. It isn't finished, but it's playable.

Thanks Newgrounds for all the views and reviews. I was hoping for the Turd of the Week award, but I guess Weekly Turd Place will do! See what I did there? I've had a lot of fun reading all these reviews and comments. To answer a question a lot of people have been asking me: no, I don't do a lot of drugs, shut up!

Turd Eating Cat got front page and daily first! That's really great and awesome. Thank you Tom and all the other Newgrounders! I'm really enjoying the reviews I got so far!

I made an album of 8-bit songs, it includes the Turd Eating Cat song. If you're interested you can download it for free here!

I also made a game years ago. Turd Eating Cat is slightly based on it I guess. You can download it here if you like!. It's a .exe file.

You can follow me on Twitter if you like! @chimpansee I promise that I won't tweet any shit but only very interesting updates on my future animations.

Here's a video of all 1123 Turdec sprites in a row, on 24 fps.

I spotted angry faic in a newspaper today (het Parool, newspaper of Amsterdam)
I wasn't looking at that page but I saw its 'Newgrounds colours' out of the corner of my eye and it caught my attention. The article didn't have anything to do with NG or angry faic, it was about "things work out better if you're angry" or something like that.

Is the title of the animation I'm working on and it's about 90% finished.

It's all drawn/animated in MS Paint. The Flash file contains about 800 bitmaps now and the movie is about 4 minutes long.

Here's a little preview.

And here's another one.

Please let me know what you think.

Hello, here's a little test animation from my upcoming movie I like to share with you all.

here

The animation is going to feature original sprites drawn pixel-by-pixel and frame-by-frame by me in MS Paint.

It is going to be done in in a month. Hate me if it isn't.

MIDI files are super small in size (only a few kB) and could be really usefull as background music in games. With MIDI support we could have many tunes in our games, without having a huge file size. And, ofcourse, it has a bit of nostalgic value too, as games like DOOM and Commander Keen used MIDI as background music. And you probably could also use your MIDI keyboard in games.

Currently Flash doesn't support MIDI. I couldn't find much about it on the Googles, but I found this:

Imagine what creative developers could do if Flash could transmit and respond gracefully to MIDI. Now an online petition is urging Adobe to do something about that. You need an account on bugs.adobe.com to vote, but that simply requires providing your name and email address. ...

Petitions have worked in the past. Wright points to the "Adobe, Make Some Noise" campaign for enhancing Flash audio, and the previous request for USB MIDI Device support, which is now under consideration at Adobe.

I think everyone on Newgrounds should sign that petition a bit!

A while ago I checked out Flash Portal. I noticed someone had uploaded Gher 2 without my permission. I used to upload my animations there myself, but I didn't really liked the website and the users so I quit a bit.

Someone felt the need to put Gher 2 up there, under the name 'aap1'. It's cool and all that he likes Gher 2 and wants to share it. But this guy should have used his brain a bit, if I'd want it up there I would have uploaded it myself. I did send a message to the Flash Portal admins without success. :/

I also noticed it some other websites like CliPal stole it and put their own watermark on it. :(

At least they still credited me as the author.

But yeah, what am I going to do about it. This happens to every artist on Newgrounds I guess.

Edit: They stole Gher's music as well! It appears on some random YouTube video, which has actually more views then the original Gher movie.

They stole Gher 2... :O

Gher 2 is finished and available in the portal right now! Watch it here!

I started on it ages ago but I thought the song sucked and I wanted to create a better one in wich I didn't succeed.

So I just kinda made a instrumental of a song I made earlier. I liked the melody and I thought it was as good as the original Gher tune. I did uploaded that song on Newgrounds, it's called 'Met Wie Spreek ik Oma' and it has a granny talking Dutch I recorded over the phone. We just called random people, recorded their voices and made soundboards out of that to call others with. And I made a song out of that. Anyway, since the song is in Dutch and no one's going to get it I thought I could use the tune for Gher 2.

The main sample is me saying something like "bleh" being played really high and fast, it was the first sample I made and it's still the most awesomest I think.

Gher's going to Azerbaijan, bitches! He actually did really go to Azerbaijan, from march till juli. Or something.

And here's some site where you can rate your professor. See what students thought of the REAL Gher!

I hope you enjoy it! But I think you would because of my unique magical gay hand... According to Derreck...

Anyway, I'd like to thank my friends, Geit and the Amoeba. Geit for programming the awesome Gher pudding and the Amoeba for helping me out
with the bass line. (I lost the original source file) And I also would like to thank everyone who said they liked the original Gher! Hope you enjoy this one as much!

Also, please do not commit suicide because of my movies... I don't appreciate it, I really don't.

Gher 2!

I bet you don't.

I've made a new animation, it's a remake of a animation my mate Geit made a few years ago. I made it for his birthday, wich is today! :D

You can watch it over here.

The music is by a band called Bula Matari, you should check them out, they're awesome. And if you recognized the song, it's on the radio in a game called "Grand Theft Auto 2". But this one's longer, better quality and does not include DJ comments.

Also you can watch the original movie here. :)

Hope you'll enjoy the animation!

Did you know the truth about taxi?

Hello there,

I've heard Leo A. Gher is going to another country in march 2008. I think I should make an animation about it. What do you think? :O

If you don't know Gher watch it here.
